Pain therapy - osteopressure and special bottleneck stretching after Liebscher & Bracht at metamove in Basel

The basic treatment consists of three to five treatments. The treatments are carried out over the clothing.

The first therapy treatment lasts about 75 minutes.
(Anamnesis and explanations of the therapy procedure).

The further treatments take about 60 minutes.

With your registration the first three treatment appointments will be arranged.

After the three to five treatments, regular participation in a bottleneck stretching group = metamove fascia/strength training - is recommended.

Currently Tuesdays from 5.45 - 6.45 pm and Saturdays from 10.30 - 11.30 am outdoors (behind the metamove studio).

With this method, back pain, knee pain, neck pain, as well as many other pains that are considered chronic, belong to the past.

In the manual therapeutic technique used by Liebscher & Bracht, osteopressure, the alarm pain receptors in the periosteum are specifically pressed. This allows the brain programs to be activated and reset, so that the muscular-fascial tensions normalize.

As a result, the joint surfaces and vertebral bodies are also no longer pressed together so strongly, which is perceived by the receptors in our body and passed on to the brain. The alarm pain is set accordingly. It can be observed again and again how effectively this works.

Already after three to five treatments it can be determined whether the pain is due to muscular-fascial tension and whether Liebscher & Bracht therapy can help. 90 percent of all patients treated with Liebscher & Bracht pain therapy go home pain-free or with considerably less pain.

However, it is essential for the lasting effectiveness of Liebscher & Bracht therapy that the one-sided movement patterns that have led to the pain are consistently changed.

Otherwise, the corresponding movement programs in the brain and the structure-threatening muscular-fascial tensions will soon build up again, so that the alarm pain is transmitted again.

However, because the modern everyday life of many people promotes one-sided movement patterns and rarely permits a consistent change in these routines, Liebscher & Bracht has developed various exercises that specifically counteract the muscular-fascial shortening - the so-called bottleneck stretches. In order to achieve permanent freedom from pain, consistent application of the exercises is necessary - parallel to osteopressurisation and beyond.

Fascia have an important task for our body perception and fine coordination. They are located in both the superficial and the deep-seated musculature.

Our fascial tissue enables the transmission of force within our body and is populated by over 100 million stimulus receptors.

Fascial tissue is able to bind large quantities of water - up to a quarter of our body water is stored in the fascia. We make use of this property with the fascial roll massage.

The special fascia roll massage is designed to loosen the tissue and prepare it for the exercises that follow. With the fascia roll massage we pursue two goals:

On the one hand, we want to shift the intercellular fluid so that waste products can be removed from the fascia tissue and the tissue can be supplied with new fluid.

The second goal is to get the cilia on the fibroblasts (which weave new fascia 24 hours a day) to break down matted fascial threads.

In this way we achieve that matting, which is the main problem of shortened and inflexible fascia, is solved. As a side effect of correct rolling according to Liebscher & Bracht, over-tensions of the muscles are also reduced.

The metamove Thai massage differs considerably in treatment from classic massages.


Clothing: The metamove Thai Massage is performed over the clothes. Due to the freedom of movement required, loose pants and thin T-shirts are best. Massage oils are not used. Please bring comfortable clothing.

Position: Unlike classic massages, metamove Thai Massage does not take place on a massage bed. Instead, a floor mat is used.

Technique: From a technical point of view, pressure and stretching techniques play a central role. The usual stroking and kneading of the skin, on the other hand, takes a back seat. Your body will get more flexible.

Duration: The Thai Massage is said to offer great added health benefits. The treatment lasts 60 or 90 minutes.
